Why pay for an independent survey?

Just a couple of the questions we get asked daily. Well, here’s why you should pay for an independent survey. We have no affiliation with suppliers selling chemicals, contractors or builders and for those reasons alone we have no interest in finding work whilst carrying out our surveys (unlike those firms offering ‘free’ surveys – there is no such thing as a ‘free’ survey).
Our only interest is making sure we provide you with the correct diagnosis and the most cost-effective way to remedy any damp or timber related issues that we may find, not selling you unnecessary chemical treatments for thousands of pounds.

All of our damp and timber specialists are independent Property Care Association (PCA) Surveyors, so you can rest assured that we have the relevant qualifications to ensure that you will receive a detailed diagnosis of any damp related defects.

We’ve conducted surveys on a very diverse range of properties (from the smallest terraced cottage to huge buildings) which have involved identifying damp and timber related defects and then recommending the appropriate remedial solutions where applicable.
We value integrity and honesty whilst providing a very personal service in a friendly and approachable manner. Upon completion of the survey, you will receive a detailed survey report including support sketches (where applicable) along with recommendations for the most cost effective and practical solutions. You will also be provided with a guide to the likely cost of any recommended remedial work to allow you to make an informed decision on how to proceed.
Your report will also have the direct mobile number of the surveyor that carried out your inspection who will be happy to chat through any issues that have been identified – we won’t just give you a report and then leave you to it. Client aftercare is a cornerstone of our business.
