Independent Damp and Timber Surveys

Multiple images of homes that have been damged by mould, damp, mildrew or timber problems.

Why pay for an independent damp survey?

“I’ve had quotes for hundreds here and thousands there… who do I trust?”
“Do I really need a damp course installed?”

These are just a couple of the questions we are asked daily. So why should you pay for an independent survey?

Quite simply, we have no affiliation with chemical suppliers, contractors or builders. This means we have no financial incentive to find work while carrying out our inspections—unlike firms offering so-called “free” surveys. (There really is no such thing as a free survey.)

Our only objective is to provide you with an accurate diagnosis and the most cost-effective, practical solution for any damp or timber issues identified—not to sell unnecessary chemical treatments that can cost thousands of pounds.

We are proud to operate as a PCA-accredited independent consultancy. All of our damp and timber specialists are fully qualified Property Care Association (PCA) surveyors, ensuring you receive a detailed and reliable assessment of any moisture-related defects.

You will find us to be consummate professionals while also being personable and approachable. From initial enquiry through to your final report, we strive to deliver a first-class service. Our team has surveyed an exceptionally diverse range of properties—from small terraced cottages to large and complex buildings—diagnosing damp and timber defects and recommending appropriate remedial measures where necessary.

Integrity and honesty sit at the heart of what we do. After the inspection, you will receive a comprehensive written report including supporting sketches (where relevant) and clear recommendations for the most effective and practical solutions. We also provide guidance on the likely cost of any recommended works, giving you the information you need to make confident, informed decisions.

Your report will include the direct mobile number of the surveyor who inspected your property, who will be happy to discuss any findings with you. We don’t simply hand you a report and disappear—client aftercare is a cornerstone of our business.

We are proud to be one of the highest-rated firms of Chartered Surveyors on Trustpilot, with hundreds of five-star reviews. Please take a moment to explore the experiences of our previous clients.
